To guarantee that our clients' properties are returned to a safe, livable state, we meticulously clean and disinfect any potentially dangerous biohazards from afflicted areas.

In the event of a death or accident when there is blood present, bloodborne pathogens (BBP) and biohazards, which may include viruses like Hepatitis and bacteria like MRSA, pose a concern. 1 in 24 people have HIV, Hepatitis B, or Hepatitis C, according to the CDC. Due to these potential concerns, Aftermath has developed and enhanced a remediation process that is safety-focused, based on science, and protects the health and welfare of our customers, employees, and impacted properties. Our cleaning practices comply with OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogen Standards, which demand taking all practical precautions and giving our personnel the required personal safety equipment (PPE). We also provide PPE if any of our customers need to access affected regions. We wish to minimize the risk of exposure for all parties.

Aftermath is aware of the extra health and safety concerns associated with improper management of blood and human fluids, including the potential for epidemics and structural damage to the structure. When blood spills are just spot cleaned and handled with a topical remedy, the area has not been thoroughly cleaned. At best, the germs have only been momentarily suppressed by this superficial cleaning; at worst, it may have totally overlooked locations where blood or other human fluids have accumulated under carpets or floors. Due to this, there are two issues that arise: the probable return of disagreeable odors and the growth of new bacterial colonies. The Aftermath biohazard cleaning & remediation method eases these concerns. Our results are validated using ATP tests, which measure cell activity including that of bloodborne infections. Only when the test reports 0 RLU are we satisfied with the degree of cleanliness (registered light units). This experiment adds accountability, measurability, and technology to our biohazard remediation process.
